Pakistan's biggest film is in the making.

So says director Imran Malik, son of veteran director Pervaiz Malik, who's begun shooting the said film up north.

The untitled film stars Danish Taimoor and Soniya Hussain (of Moor and Nazo fame) in the lead, and also features Nadeem Baig in an important role. Actors Mariam Ansari and Irum Mazhar are also a part of the principal cast.

"My film will introduce five new heroes to Pakistani cinema," promises Malik, "and also feature a big supporting cast."

What will this new film be about?

"The film has elements of patriotism, a very powerful love story, some action scenes - a film has never been attempted on such a big canvas in Pakistan before," says Malik, refusing to divulge any plot details until the first teaser is out next month.

The film also has its musical side working for it.

Sahir Ali Bagga is composing the soundtrack, and has roped in Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan and Qurratulain Baloch to sing.

Malik also revealed that a cinematographer from Australia, Ben Jasper, is shooting the film, which will have its opening scenes and a few songs set in London.

The film is being produced by Imran's brother Irfan Malik and is tentatively scheduled for a late 2016 release.

if it is about patriotism then it will be BANNED definately.... here isnt any place for the movies which reflect patriotism, political games or public awareness as MAALIK did. #ISTANDWITHMAALIK# and #I STAND AGAINST HYPOCRITICAL POLITICAL CLASS# we must be proud that we have real hero like Sir Ashir Azeem.

Son of same lollywood style! I think he also directed a Tv serial in which he appeared in main role. That was a worse form of acting and direction I ever witness.

Danish does not look like a hero. He is a very bad actor. As for Soniya Hussain reminds of of priyanka

This is the second film by the Imran Malik. His first film was 'Tere Bin Jiya Na Jaye' starring Imran Malik, Zara Sheikh, Sherry Shah in the lead roles. TBJNJ was a big flop and one major reason was Imran Malik himself, he was a total misfit as a hero in the film. It was reported multiple famous in late 1990's that Parvez Malik an acclaimed director of our film industry has demanded the producers to cast his son as hero whenever he was approaced by any producer to direct his film. Parvez malik also directed dramas in 1990's like Tum Se Mil Ke, starring Imran Malik opposite Vaneeza Ahmed and Jia Ali۔He also starred in a drama in 2000 opposite Iman Ali which was also produced/directed by Parvez malik. In short Imran malik is a total misfit for the hero role and despite many efforts by the legendary director Parvez Malik to promote his son, he failed badly.
