Former model Saima Azhar's film breakthrough has long been rumoured, and it looks like she's finally ready to spill the beans on her debut project.

Saima has been cast in upcoming film Rastey, which stars radio jockey/TV host Sahir Lodhi, who has also co-written the film's script.

"Sahir and I will play the lead roles in the film, while Sana Fukher will play my sister-in-law. Rastey is a family-oriented action film with a romantic element. There will be no vulgarity or raunchy jokes in it," she said to Images.

Ijaz Aslam, Shamoon Abbasi and Naveed Raza have also been cast in this film, Saima claims.

"i've been offered so many films and item numbers. It was very difficult for me to choose the right film for myself. When I read Raastey's script, I felt like 'This is it!'," she said about her decision to sign the film.

The film, which goes on the floors this month, will be directed by Saqib Siddiqui and produced by Dr Faisal and its script has been written by Sahir Lodhi and Shahid Naqvi.
