Fawad Chaudhry wants to change the state emblem and Twitter is trolling him for it

People reminded him that there was a difference between a logo and an emblem.

Fawad Chaudhry wants to change some parts of the state emblem of Pakistan, the shield containing the national motto, and people on Twitter aren't really on board with the idea.

The federal minister for information and broadcasting, who previously held the office of federal minister for science and technology from April 19, 2019 to April 16, 2021, still clearly holds science and technology close to his heart and took to social media to suggest the change.

"In [the] government of Pakistan logo my suggestion is jute and tea should be replaced with science snd technology, and education icons," he posted on Twitter, asking graphic designers to send him their ideas and expecting a whole lot of suggestions in return.

The response however, was hilarious, as people not only did not pitch him more designs, but trolled him for it, correcting him and saying there was a difference between a logo and an emblem, and he was talking about the latter in this case.

Some were still salty about exams being held in the country

While others were confused about the nation's priorities

Some rightfully called out the exploitation

And others went a little too far

The minister should know, they said

While the internal wars continued

Questions were raised

There, this one said it.

The quartered shield in the emblem represents cotton, wheat, tea and jute, which were Pakistan's major crops during the time of independence, and are shown in a form of a shield; signifying the country's agriculture base as a crucial part of its economy.

The crest and the green colour of the emblem are traditional symbols of Islam, while the shield contains the national motto in Urdu — translated as 'Faith, Unity, Discipline' — which are intended as the guiding principles for Pakistan.

There is nothing wrong with what FC is suggesting, and there is no reason for people to troll him.

Frankly, Pakistan has nothing to do with science and education. The emblems should be sword, gun, bomb, and women in chains

At least he's being frank about asking for ideas. My friend pitched an idea for food carts to one of the ministers in government, and seemingly nothing came of it, until some time later the ministry announced similar project launch and took all the credit.

It’s seriousness of Govt that waste time on useless things rather work on reduction in inflation, unemployment etc

What a big mouth he has!!! Even you can not produce vaccine and other life saving drugs. We ( as a nation) are like beggars in everything. Rather than highlighting petty matters you people should focuse on development of common peoples. Do not shade crocodile tears on the work previous governemnt.

For first the time, I tend to agree with Fawad Chaudhary's "-----my suggestion is Jute and Tea should be replaced ---", since East Pakistan has parted ways. But, instead of his proposal to add " Science & Technology and education icons", instead I would suggest to add some appropriate Icons for J&K, to reinforce our claim on them.

Fawad chaudhary has a valid point as tea and jute are no longer pakistans main crop and we aspire to excel in science n technology as industrialisation is the future.

Critisim for the sake of critisim. Where did he mention it would be free? He just asked for ideas not actual emblems to be submitted for free.

Quite a good suggestion from FC. I would also humbly propose changing the principles back to "Unity, Faith, Discipline" as their order originally was.

@Haya "The emblems should be sword, gun, bomb, and women in chains" Or how about oxygen, ventilators, medical supplies and ambulances - the four things we're currently donating to you?

Firstly Fawad Sb should correct the sequence of Faith, Unity, Discipline to what the Quaid e Azam's one which was "Unity, Faith and Discipline". General Zia amended this and it needs to be restored as per Quaid's guidelines.

Its not trolling. Its simply people given the opportunity to say something, anything, anytime. And its getting extremely boring, predictable and negative, just like all the other SM apps.
