Kangana Ranaut may be promoting her upcoming film Simran, but she has a lot more going on.

The actor, who is already turning producer with Manikarnika, is set to make her directorial debut.

According to Indian Express, Kangana will start working on her directorial debut titled Teju once she is done with Manikarnika, which she claims is "30 percent over".

Says the actor, "That film (Teju) is under the process. I will start it only after Manikarnika. It will be a nice journey, I am looking forward to it. It is a children’s film, and I have a lot of ideas and excitement for it. But it will be a difficult project to pull off, and I am looking forward to it."

About choosing Teju, a children's film, as her directorial debut, Kangana says, "I have many ideas, and something which materialised is something like this, it is a family-children-drama because I want to cater to any audience. It will be a light-hearted film, I can’t call it comedy, but most definitely a nice film. This is what I wanted to do."

Kangana will also be acting in Teju as an 80-year old woman. About preparing for the character's looks, she says, "Yes, we are going to use prosthetics, special effects, body double, all kind of techniques we will have to use."

Kangana has definitely taken on a challenge. Working with children in movies is definitely not an easy task and the Queen actor agrees. "Kids are very hard to handle!" says Kangana, adding, "I like children, but to work with kids..oh…oh God…their sleeping time, and you know… But in my film there are kids."

There are no dates given for Teju but we can enjoy Kangana's performance in Simran which comes out September 15.
