Abdullah Siddiqui has been working as an associate producer for Coke Studio's upcoming season

In the last couple of years some very talented musicians have emerged in Pakistan and most of them are rather young. Twenty-year-old electropop prodigy Abdullah Siddiqui already wowed us by making it to Forbes 30 under 30 list and now he's hit another major milestone by having worked as an associate producer for Coke Studio.

"To anyone who’s been wondering what I was doing for most of 2021, this is it. I was associate producer on the upcoming season of Coke Studio under the guidance of Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan," Siddiqui announced on Instagram.

Siddiqui said he "got to make a whole lot of music" for the upcoming season and was also involved in the process of curating the artist lineup.

The musician expressed gratitude to Xulfi for taking him under his wing for such a great project, "I will forever be grateful to Xulfi for trusting me with his brainchild and for taking me on the greatest artistic journey of my life so far.

"And I can’t wait for you all to hear these songs," he said before revealing a collaboration that has us — and surely his fans — intrigued. "P.S. I also got to sing a song. With the coolest collaborator one can ask for." Considering the artist lineup, we're in for a treat!

The singer-songwriter first gained national fame with his Nescafé Basement original 'Resistance', and later his super hit 'Kingdom' for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL6 last year. The song was Zalmi's official anthem.

Siddiqui has three albums under his belt — Heterotopia, Metannoya and dead Beat poets — and was also featured on US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's Spotify playlist called 'Muslim Vibes', along with Shamoon Ismail.
