Usman Mukhtar kicks off his wedding festivities with a mayun

Covid-19 lockdown measures have somewhat eased their grip across Pakistan and actor Usman Mukhtar has begun his wedding festivities with an intimate mayun event attended by family and friends.

The Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay actor tied the knot in a beautiful nikkah ceremony in April with wife Zuniara Inam Khan. He announced the big news through a heartfelt post for his wife on Instagram.

Mukhtar and Khan's mayun came a few months after their nikkah ceremony. The event decor featured the traditional mayun yellow in the form of flowers and drapery. There was even a fun illustration of Mukhtar and Khan in the backdrop.

Both the bride and groom wore complementary beige outfits. We quite liked Khan's overall look — she paired (what seems to be) a silk outfit with a dramatic choker and and earring set. The understated and elegant bridal look went perfectly with the intimate event.

Khan even twirled for the camera to give us a better look at her outfit.

Mukhtar wore a shalwar kameez complete with a shawl and seemed to be quite busy munching on something or the other, as you should at a food-filled desi wedding! Given that he's the groom, he's most likely enjoying a piece of mithai.

We're expecting Mukhtar had his guests strictly follow Covid-19 SOPs, given how the actor wasn't too happy about people not following SOPs at weddings in 2020.

Mukhtar's wedding seems to have had a fun and cheerful start. We can't wait to see what's next in the wedding event line-up.
