Makeup artist Natasha asks everyone to be more considerate when sharing information about victims

Makeup artist Natasha Ali Lakhani — who is the granddaughter of the late singer Noor Jehan — recently posted a video on social media, requesting people to be more sensitive when sharing information on victims.

Lakhani addressed the manner in which information has been shared by people online recently and asked everyone to be "considerate of the family of the deceased". Though she did not mention it explicitly, it can be inferred that she was speaking about the murder of Noor Mukadam.

"The way people are reporting news of the recent incident, the way people are watching and sharing details, we should all think about the huge responsibility we have to share this information sensitively," Lakhani said.

"What would you have felt if something like this happened to a close loved one? How would you have shared things then? Place yourselves in the position of the victim's family and loved ones."

Lakhani requested everyone to continue with their demands for justice only. "The only thing we should speak and ask for is justice and that the culprit receives the harshest of punishments," she said. "Other than that, questions like "what happened" or "why did it happen" answered in the form of posts or videos are very disrespectful," she said.

"On one hand, we're asking for justice and then on the other we're sharing things like these," she stated. "All this makes us part of the problem we're trying to solve because we stop showing sensitivity and empathy."

Lakhani isn't the only one who's requested people to share information with more sensitivity. Actor Osman Khalid Butt also urged people to stop sharing unverified details about Mukadam's murder.

"I cannot believe this bears saying, but please stop sharing unverified, unsubstantiated details about the murder: the causes, the aftermath," he tweeted. "Especially if they're by anonymous sources."
