After three decades of nothing but love Strings announced it was splitting up and the country has been collectively jamming to Aakhri Alvida ever since.

In what was an extremely sudden announcement that no one saw coming, the band announced the move on social media. "We have decided that today, 25/03/2021, is the day we graciously get to conclude Strings," they announced, leaving Pakistan heartbroken.

Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood said that the split wasn't due to hard feelings. They said despite the split, they were extremely fond of each other and share an inseparable bond.

Fans took to social media to vent their grief at the news, shocked that one of Pakistan's most iconic bands would come to and end like this.
