Veena Malik is firing shots at Sania Mirza and it's not okay

Pakistani star Veena Malik and tennis player Sania Mirza have had a falling out on Twitter.

It started with Sania explaining the widely circulating video of members of the Pakistani team sitting at a sheesha bar, which some claim to be hours before the match, while others say it was from the day before. Irrespective, people's grievances were that the team took the match lightly and were ill-prepared for it.

"That’s the video you shot without asking us, disrespecting our privacy even though we had a child with us? And got told off for doing so and you came up with this crap? FYI ‘outing’ was dinner and yes people are allowed to eat if they lose a match! Bunch of fools! Try better content next time," Sania posted on Twitter following the video's release.

Veena Malik jumped in and responded to the tweet showing concern for Sania's baby and the cricket team's health. "Sania, I am actually so worried for the kid. You guys took him to a sheesha place isn't it hazardous? Also as far as I know Archie's is all about junk food which isn't good for athletes/boys. You must know well as you are mother and athlete yourself?"

The tweet led to a clash between the two and Sania pointed out that she doesn't need parenting tips from the actor nor is she the Pakistani cricket team's mother or caregiver.

In other words, she told Veena to mind her own business. "Veena, I have not taken my kid to a sheesha place. Not that it’s any of your or the rest of the world’s business 'cause I think I care about my son a lot more than anyone else does :) Secondly I am not the Pakistan cricket team’s dietitian nor am I their mother or principal or teacher."

And though the conversation should've ended there, Veena decided to take another jibe at the tennis star by insinuating that an adult like Shoaib Malik cannot take care of his own health and needs his wife to look after him.

"Great to hear that you didn't take your kid there. Oh did I mentioned you are a dietitian or mother of the Pak team? I said you are an athlete and you must know how much fitness is important for athletes. Also aren't you a wife of cricketer? You should take care of his well being," she posted.

A deleted tweet later, Sania Mirza chose not to respond to her. But it's baffling that someone like Veena who faced a pretty torrid time during her career in the entertainment industry is out to make another woman look bad, as a mother and wife.

Also, why is it that women are always at the centre of blame for men's shortcomings? In the past Anushka Sharma was labelled as bad luck for the Indian team and unfairly targeted for the team performing poorly and now Sania Mirza is being pegged as a bad wife/athlete for not looking after her husband's or the cricket team's health before the match... doesn't the team pay a coach for that?
