Salman Khan is being super weird while he promotes his new film Bharat

Let's face it, Salman Khan is not the most politically correct guy out there... and by the looks of it, he doesn't seem to care either.

The actor's busy with Bharat promotions alongside his co-star Katrina Kaif, and it seems like all these public appearances have taken a toll on him (or maybe he's born this way), because some of the things he's been saying are frankly, cringe-worthy.

The evidence:

1. First, his creepy Priyanka obsession

Salman Khan's weird obsession with Priyanka Chopra since she quit Bharat has got to stop. The actor sounds like a broken record bringing up her exit from his film every opportunity he gets.

In one interview he said “Over Bharat, she chose USA in the ‘nick’ of time. She has worked all her life so hard and when she got the biggest film of her life, she dumped the film and got married. Hats off! Usually people leave their husbands for a film like this.”

In another interview, when asked about his reaction on Katrina being cast after Priyanka Chopra left before the shoot started, Salman "thanked" Priyanka for doing so.

2. His dismissive attitude towards his co-star Katrina Kaif

During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Salman Khan was asked what career Katrina Kaif have if she hadn’t ended up as an actor, to which he replied: “She should be married and produce kids.”

We get that Salman cannot see a woman's capabilities beyond getting married and having children - not that that exonerates him from his archaic beliefs - but let's keep the mansplaining to a zero. Women can decide for themselves whether they want to get married and have children.

3. His endless manterupption

Meet the manterrupting king, who makes it a habit to interrupt Katrina Kaif. On one occasion Katrina was discussing her role in the film when Salman rudely interrupted her and started talking about Priyanka.

Stop now.

4. His odd musings on children and mothers

In an interview with India today, the actor said he wanted to start a family but didn't want the woman.

“I want children, but with children comes the mother. I don’t want the mother but they need one. But I have a whole village to take care of them. Maybe I can work out a win-win situation for everyone," he shared.

While being a single parent is totally fine and the actor could be hinting at surrogacy/adoption, we still think it's a crass statement to make; women are not just baby-making machines and to dismiss them as such is highly disrespectful.

5. His... this thing:

During the Bharat song launch - while suggesting that Katrina should be awarded a national award for her role in the film, Salman added he would want her to call him "meri jaan" instead of "bhai jaan". This borders on creepy, just FYI.

6. And more dissing of his co-star:

During a kids dance reality show Katrina Kaif and Shilpa Shetty danced on stage for the audience, while they did their thumkas Salman visibly yawned and stretched to make it a point that he found their performance boring. He even called it "bakwas".

All this kind of makes us want to ask... Salman, you ok?
