Riz Ahmed shares his brother's account of 'everyday racism' and it sounds way too familiar

We've all been at the receiving end of casual racism while travelling so Riz Ahmed sharing his brother's account of one such incident on Twitter sounded all too familiar.

The actor and rapper took to the social media platform to share a tweet by his brother, Kamran who was travelling to Australia and ran into one xenophobe:

The Pakistani-British star added to the tweet: "My brother is a psychiatrist writing on mental health, music, racism... landed in Australia and this is what happens to him. Just another example of #everydayracism."

Many celebrities have opened up about dealing with racism, such as Priyanka Chopra and Kumail Nanjiani to name a few.

In an interview with Complex Magazine, Chopra opened up about how she was bullied in high school by a girl named Jeanine. "She'd say, ‘Brownie, go back to your country, you smell of curry,’ or ‘Do you smell curry coming?’ You know when you’re a kid, and you’re made to feel bad about where your roots are, or what you look like? You don’t understand it, you just feel bad about who you are."
