These men praise their wives in public. On Valentine's Day, be like them
Last year former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar passed an unseemly 'wife joke' during an address to fellow judges and lawyers. He recounted a story about a colleague of his who was fighting with his wife to make a point and said, "when you don't have peace how can you deliver justice?"
The former CJ was one of a long line of men who find it amusing to make fun of their wives and marital affairs in public.
Thing is, it isn't funny.
While it's fine to discuss your relationships in private with friends, using your significant other as the butt of a joke in public is humiliating, derogatory, and also sexist.
Thankfully, a few good men have found a way to turn this trend on its head. The following men have made it a habit to lift up the women in their lives instead of bringing them down. Be like them!
1) Shoaib Malik's unconditional support for Sania Mirza
When Sania wanted to speak out about unrealistic expectations faced by new moms, Shoaib was there to support her.
2) Ranveer Singh's admiring comments on literally everything Deepika Padukone posts
Here's a man who isn't afraid to call his partner a queen.
