Shireen Mazari doesn't like Ko Ko Korina and Momina Mustehsan's got something to say about it

Last night a most unexpected debate erupted on Twitter, we didn't see it coming... ever.

Singer Momina Mustehsan, known most recently for covering 'Ko Ko Korina' with Ahad Raza Mir on Coke Studio, chose to engage with some of the feedback they received for their rendition of the classic song.

She responded to one of the song's better known critics, i.e., PTI's Minister of Human Rights Shireen Mazari:

Momina began by apologising for the song, pointing out that Mazari as Pakistan's Minister of Human Rights should appreciate Coke Studio for giving artists a platform to exercise their freedom of expression:

Mazari didn't appreciate her office being brought into a non political matter:

But Momina showed her just how her bashing of the 'Ko Ko Korina' cover was, in fact, a human rights issue:

Mazari reiterated that her musical opinions have nothing to do with her job and exited the debate.

But Momina was not done. She drove the point home with another tweet and quoted Spider-Man to show that she means business:

And then she said Mazari should behave more responsibly on public platforms in this era of cyber bullying and hate speech:

Mazari left it to other people to tell Momina that criticism isn't cyber bullying:

Of course, Momina had the last word here too:

And Ahad jumped right in to defend his Ko Ko Korina partner.
