Rishi Kapoor reveals what character he's playing in Manto

Nawazuddin Siddiqui's performance as Urdu writer Saadat Hasan Manto in Manto's trailer had us picking our jaws off the floor but don't think we missed that little glimpse of Rishi Kapoor in the clip in all that frenzy!

And now, the veteran actor has revealed a little more about the little role he'll be playing in the upcoming flick:

Sharing a still from the trailer, Kapoor tweeted: “Played this incorrigible sleazy film producer in “Manto” along with the terrific @Nawazuddin_S. Just a guest scene for dear @nanditadas. Don’t miss the pants being worn nearly at the chest(the fashion those days perhaps).”

A Twitter user even shared a picture from a Bollywood audition from 1951 which looked eerily similar to the scene in the trailer:

Then again, we've always known Das (who's directed the film) has an eye for detail! Manto's cast also includes Rasika Duggal, Rishi Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Ila Arun and Rajshri Deshpande, with Javed Akhtar making his screen debut.

The movie is slated for release on September 21, 2018.
