Salman Khan receives Global Diversity Award at Britain’s House of Commons

Here's another feather in Salman Khan's cap.

The Bollywood actor received a Global Diversity Award on Friday at Britian's House of Commons; he was presented the award by Keith Vaz, British Parliament’s longest-serving Asian MP.

According to Indian Express, Vaz shared: "The Global Diversity Award is given to people of immense stature in terms of what they have done for diversity in the world, and he is certainly one of them."

He added, that Khan was "not just a megastar for Indian and world cinema, but also someone who has done so much for humanitarian causes."

Salman, who runs the Being Human NGO, said, "Thank you for the respect and honour you have given me."

The actor is currently in Britain for his Dabangg tour, which will also feature celebrities such as Sonakshi Sinha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Prabhudheva and Sooraj Pancholi among others.
