Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive

Each year People Magazine announces their Sexiest Man Alive...and this year, their choice is as solid as a rock. Or The Rock.

The magazine bestowed the honour this year on the wrestler turned actor, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, calling him "sweet. smart and sculpted."

So what did the former WWE champ think when he first heard about his latest title?

“I said, ‘That’s awesome.’ And then what went through my mind was just how cool and exciting it is,” shared Johnson. “And then I thought, ‘Wow, we’ve pretty much reached the pinnacle.’ I’m not quite too sure where we go from here. I’ve done it all, this is it.”

His Baywatch co-star Priyanka Chopra took to Twitter to congratulate the 6'5 Herculean star.

At 6’5″ and 245 lbs., the 44-year-old insists that becoming comfortable in his own skin “took a lot of time.”

As a teen growing up in Hawaii, “I was doing a lot of things that I shouldn’t have. I was getting arrested multiple times, but at the same time, always very respectful to my teachers and elders. I was unsure of who I was and who I wanted to be,” he says.

Past holders of the title have included David Beckham in 2015 and Chris Hemsworth in 2016 so he's definitely in good company!
