This feel-good video from a Pakistani animal shelter will warm your heart

Here's a feel good video to kick off your weekend.

Or you might just end up crying a little but they'll be happy tears, we promise!

Ayesha Chundrigar Foundation (ACF), the non-profit animal welfare organization based in Karachi just shared an adorable video, made by Oscar winner, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy that had us all going "awwww!" in unison.

An initiative dedicated to providing a voice for the voiceless, ACF rescues abandoned, abused stray animals from all over the city, giving them food and shelter and provides free medical treatment to the ones that may have been injured, also focusing on their rehabilitation.

"Street animals in Pakistan are considered to be unclean, na paak and no one wants to give them a chance, which is why animal shelters are so important to safeguards their rights," says Ayesha in the video, the woman behind the cause.

Currently, the ACF focuses its efforts on three main fronts: their animal shelters, their spay/neuter program and their donkey camps.

"We try to help the owners empathise with these ‘beasts of burden’. Most donkey owners abuse the animals and deprive them of their necessary sustenance."

Salman, co-manager at the shelter, explains the process. "We train them how to treat their donkeys properly and guide them on the feeding and resting processes. We give them medicine and food items for free at the end. Between 18 to 50 donkeys can be treated in one camp; one camp costs Rs 20,000."

The foundation now operates two shelters in the city: one by the Superhighway, which is land owned by the Edhi Foundation and managed by Ayesha's organization and the other in Mujahid Colony, Dalmia.

Good to know these animals are now in safe hands!
