Americans watch Taher Shah's Angel for the first time and the results are hilarious

The appeal of Taher Shah is not lost on anyone, not even the staff at the U.S. Consulate General in Karachi. 'Eye to Eye' was a smash hit and three years later, he's back with a bang with 'Angel'.

On a presumably slow day at work, the embassy staff decided to record their reactions to watch the viral video that has now been viewed over 2 million times on various social media platforms.

Here are some highlights from the adorable video:

When the embassy staff couldn't decide whether he was an angel, a wizard, a mermaid, a fairy or Elsa from Frozen

Brownie points to these two for keeping a straight face

This bunch is sincerely perplexed. We don't blame you guys, the wings threw us off too!

"Is he like a wizard?" asks one gentleman.

"I think he's like an angel...or like the princess from Frozen," answers one of the ladies.

Meanwhile, another colleague was on a whole different tangent, stating Taher was "kind of Phantom of the Opera..."

When they try to make the best of a bad situation

"Maybe a little out of tune," suggests one of the employees sheepishly

"It is a beautiful location!" exclaims one viewer while another adds, "The lyrics are easy to follow. It's a catchy tune, it gets stuck in your head."

Way to look at the glass half full guys!

When this one woman broke out into near perfect Urdu, putting the rest of us to shame

"Acha paighaam hai na," she says, desperately looking for a silver lining

Didn't see that coming.

In the end, she declares, "Mujhay Eye to Eye aur acha laga tha."

There's a wide range of fashion displayed by the embassy staff

Spotted: A heavily worked sherwani, a three-piece suit, a casual open collar look topped off with a Sindhi topi.

We're having a tough time deciding who's the best-dressed of the lot

Who wore it best?
