Pakistanis bash Islamophobia with #1in5Muslims and the results are hilarious

British tabloid The Sun caused a stir when it carried a story titled "1 in 5 Brit Muslims’ sympathy for jihadis on its front page yesterday.

The story alleged that "nearly one in five British Muslims has some sympathy with those who have fled the UK to fight for IS in Syria," and that these figures emerged from an "exclusive poll conducted after the Paris atrocities."

With incidents of Islamophobia on the rise, complaints about The Sun's poll poured in: British newspaper The Independent said The Sun's interpretation of the poll prompted an unprecedented number of complaints to the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO). Other media outlets were quick to weigh in on the issue too, questioning the accuracy of The Sun's report.

But the weightiest blow to The Sun comes, perhaps, from a source with a greater sense of humour: Twitter, of course.

Soon after The Sun's report saw the light of day, Muslims and non-Muslims alike took to Twitter under the banner of #1in5Muslims, cooking up inane and often hilarious 'facts' and generalizations about Muslims to rival The Sun's assertion.

The twitterati in Pakistan didn't disappoint — here's a choice selection of what #1in5Muslims might get up to, as per, well, everyone.
