Is Salman Khan in trouble with the law again?

A man in Bihar has filed a case against Salman for cheating and criminal intimidation

Released on Eid, Sultan became a a box office hit, earning more than 208 crore on its first week.

But all is not well as Bihar resident Mohammad Sabir Ansari alias Sabir Baba, accused Sultan star Salman Khan of cheating and criminal intimidation and filed a case in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.

According to The Hindustan Times, the lawsuit claims that Salman Khan had promised to give Sabir Rs 20 crore as royalty for making a film based on his life. According to his counsel, Sudhir Kumar Ojha, Sabir had narrated his tale to the star in Mumbai in 2010 and was promised the money if a film based on the story was made. The money has not materialised.

The case has been filed under various sections of IPC including 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).

Actor Anushka Sharma and director Ali Abbas Zafar have also been named in the case.

The case came up for hearing on Tuesday. The next hearing is on July 26.

given the pathetic loads of legal cases in Indian courts he would be lucky if plaintiff's grandson could get a trial date for the case.
