Going loco for local: Aura Crafts’ K-Repair Radiance Serum will help you get your glow on

2023 has been all about glowing skin — all consumers want it and retailers are selling it but who’s actually walking the walk? Aura Crafts’ K-Repair Radiance Serum, that’s who.

We received a package from Aura containing their Strawberry Cleansing Bar (more on that later, maybe), Jasmine Fragrance Mist and the K-Repair serum. So far, I’ve tried the soap and the serum and I’ve been torn between which I should review first. I decided on the serum, just because I quite like it, despite initially being quite hesitant to use it because hello, new serums on sensitive skin are a recipe for disaster.

To start with, it costs Rs2,100 for a 30ml bottle but is currently on sale for Rs1,890, which isn’t bad at all. I’ve been using it once a day for about two and a half weeks and I suspect the bottle will last me about two months.

The serum claims to instantly firm, purify and lift your skin, and while I’m not sure I can vouch for the purification, I do feel like my skin has been looking better these past few weeks. You can’t really test a serum out in such a short period of time, but I can give my initial thoughts.

I have sensitive skin, but this didn’t break me out or cause any redness or inflammation, which is a big plus. While it has a pretty strong scent, it’s not an artificial one and therefore isn’t irritating. I can’t really put my finger on it, but the ingredients are niacinamide (B3), lactic acid (AHA), ginger extract, papaya enzyme extract and grapefruit essential oil. Somehow it smells of lemongrass but I don’t think that’s right. I fear this will remain a mystery.

The serum has a refreshing element to it and my skin has started looking better recently but I can’t really say whether the K-Repair serum can take credit it for it. I can, however, say that my skin has definitely started looking a touch brighter and more even toned since I started using it.

The main thing is that I like using this serum. I’d rate it 4.5 stars rounded down to 4.
