Asim Azhar and Arshman Naeem’s ‘Jo Tu Na Mila’ x ‘Habibi’ mashup needs to be on your playlist

Singer Asim Azhar has been on a roll this year, releasing one song after another but the latest rendition of ‘Habibi’ and ‘Jo Tu Na Mila’ may be our new favourite but not just because of Azhar. The new song is a collaboration with a young fan and very talented singer named Arshman Naeem.

On Sunday, Azhar shared a clip of Naeem from June, singing one of his songs and the comments in which he had been tagged under the original video. The clip then transitioned to one of them together in a music studio, announcing their upcoming collaboration. Today, Azhar dropped the mashup on his YouTube channel, and it’s already on top of our playlists.

“This is the collaboration you wanted,” wrote Azhar in the description of the video calling Naeem an “internet sensation”. Prior to the song release, Azhar had taken to Twitter with the announcement video and wrote, “Talent is Talent. We only try to bring it forward. We shall meet soon.”

Naeem has shared covers of multiple songs on his Instagram, including those of Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Qawwali maestro Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and popular Bollywood songs.

The newly released music video has racked up over 60,000 views on YouTube in five hours since its release.
