Desi Twitter is shaking its head after people complained about Tuesday's Wordle being too hard

You must be as tired as us seeing Wordle scores on Twitter (we get it, you know English words) but we must draw the line at slander of the game for its 'difficult' words. The word for Wordle 255 was "rupee" and it had non desi Wordle users shaking.

To start with, Wordle is a game where you get six tries to guess the word of the day. The word is the same for all users around the world but don't worry, we didn't spoil the word of the day — it's from March 1.

Rupee is a word in the dictionary the same way dollar, pound, ruble and yen are all words, but a lot of people — and we mean a lot — took issue with it.

It wasn't that hard though!

It took people quite a few guesses.

If they got it, that is.

But don't worry if you didn't get it, it took some desis quite a few tries to get it too!

Some people were mad at the New York Times for including the word because... it's not a good enough word?

There were other users who were pretty harsh with people who didn't get the word.

Not all words are equal, it seems.

Some desis were spitting facts.

Others had jokes (we wish inflation was a joke).

There were some spoilers too.

Justice for the rupee! We think people need to expand their vocabularies and include words from all over the world. Just because you haven't heard of the rupee doesn't mean it's not a word (as was argued by some people on Twitter).
