Ali Zafar and Gul Panra's Pashto song 'Larsha Pekhawar' hits 52m views on YouTube in three months

Ali Zafar's first Pashto song has been a hit ever since its release in September 2021 — it hit an impressive 1.7 million views on YouTube in less than 48 hours, trending at no.1 on the video sharing platform. The love has only kept growing as the song has now crossed 52 million views in just three months.

Zafar's record label Lightingale Records shared the news on their Instagram by posting a snippet of the music video with the captions "Biggest Hit of the year 2021", "Reached 52 million views on YouTube organically in three months" and "And still growing". They tagged the singer, congratulating him.

'Larsha Pekhawar' features Pashto folk singer Gul Panra and Pushto rap trio Fortitude Pukhtoon Core. The music has been composed by Hassan Badshah and the video's direction has been done by Waleed Akram.

According to the music video's description on YouTube, the song is a dedication to "Pashtun brothers and sisters" and is "a tribute to their vibrant culture, values and most of all bravery."

Zafar re-posted the music video snippet on his Instagram Story, thanking his fans.

Panra also shared the same snippet on her Story.

Along with the Pashto song, Zafar has diversified his music by singing a Chinese song, a K-pop inspired song and a naat.
