Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay is about to end and Mahira Khan has something to say

By now we're sure you're well aware of Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay — if you haven't watched it, you've probably heard about it. This week the 21st aired and it was the second last episode of the drama. Mahira Khan, who plays the character of Mehreen, wrote a heartfelt caption on Instagram, appreciating her co-star, Kubra Khan as well as the show's creators.

In episode 21, Mehreen and Mashal (Kubra) discussed their differences. The 35-minute episode was dedicated to two women who had been pitted against each other throughout the series. Mahira shared a few clips from the recent episode on Instagram and said, "it is the heart and soul of HKKST, at least for me."

"I remember reading it and thinking — This will be interesting — two women who have been pitted against each other their whole lives, sit opposite each other and talk. Rarely do we see that on our screens," wrote the Superstar actor.

She also credited the writer, Umera Ahmed, and director, Rind Farooq, for capturing the moment. The scene was a breathe of fresh air in a world where female TV characters are pitted against each other.

Mahira also dedicated a few words to Kubra. She mentioned how she wanted to cry as she saw her co-star as Mashal had no idea that she would die. "I had to still act a bit angry, a bit weary of her, still not trust her fully. But when I’d get out of character I just wanted to hug Mashal. There is no one I’d rather have sitting there except for her," she said.

As the drama comes to an end it seems as if there will be accountability in the show but perhaps not for everyone.
