After Turkey, Adnan Siddiqui is promoting cross-cultural exchange between Pakistan and UK

There comes a stage in some actors' career where having done mega projects and winning awards isn't enough — and they push themselves to do more, not just for themselves but their fraternity. Veteran actor Adnan Siddiqui is one such artist.

After pushing for Pak-Turk collaborations with all his might, he has now set his sights on a new milestone for Pakistani television: a Pakistan-UK dosti in the form of a cultural exchange.

The actor met British High Commissioner Dr Christian Turner and shared exclusive snippets from the meeting on his social media. Siddiqui revealed how the two countries are in talks to strengthen ties through not just television, but also education and the ever-passionate love for cricket.

"In these times of global inclusivity, the world is an oyster in every sense of the word. I firmly believe that cross-cultural exchange across all fields will shape the new order of diplomacy," the Mere Paas Tum Ho star shared, alongside pictures from the meeting.

"In a meeting with Dr Christian Turner, British High Commissioner, this observation was underscored as we talked about renewed impetus to Pakistan-England ties through education, entertainment and cricket."

"Thank you, Mr Turner. It was an honour sharing tea and ideas with you. May our friendship grow personally and diplomatically. Thank you Ms Younis for making this happen," he added.

Turner also shared some photos from the day and expressed his enthusiasm.

"Bohat maza aya to meet the talented Adnan Siddiqui and Ammara Hikmat," he said on the official page. "Pakistani TV and films attract a big following in the United Kingdom — working to boost the industry and #UKPakDosti."

Ammara, a producer of the long-awaited Legend of Maula Jutt, was also part of the team, and shared a selfie to commemorate the occasion.

Siddiqui it seems has taken it upon himself to show Pakistani content across borders. Only a few days ago, the star was part of the team seeking to flourish Pak-Turkey brotherhood.

He hosted the Turkish delegation and had shared some lovely pictures with Ertugrul's star Abdul Rehman Alp, revealing his personal fan moment.

"Though he says he’s fallen in love with Pakistan and our hospitality, I must tell you my friend, you have got two fans for life in megastar Humayun Saeed and a fairly popular actor, yours truly," he had said in a message directed to the star.
