Dear young people, Imran Khan has a message for all of you

From monthly book recommendations to endorsing his favourite television shows, Prime Minister Imran Khan takes out the time from his busy schedule to share his insights, particularly with the youth.

As the difficult year comes to an end, the former cricket champion has come forth with some words of encouragement for the youth around the world. Feeling exhausted, broken and defeated? No worries, because Khan is here to share his very own tried and tested mantra.

"Life goes in cycles, never in a straight line . Where one ends up depends upon how one copes with the high and low points," he said in a short video posted on Instagram.

"These setbacks and disappointments are all a lesson. A successful man is one who knows how to cope up with the hardships that come his way. Demoralisation is the real failure. Learn to fall, but then get back up with grace. Discover your strengths. This is the cycle called struggle — the secret to success."

"The ones who are successful never get demoralised by the bad times, instead analyse and learn from their mistakes and hence emerge stronger. And when on a high, they never get carried away by the success, instead work harder to prolong that trajectory before the inevitable descent begins."

So youngsters, pay heed. You may agree or disagree with Khan's politics, but it's always good to hear words of encouragement from those in roles of leadership.
