For kids stuck at home, Aamina Sheikh encourages story time in Urdu

In the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, everyone has been advised to observe social distancing and stay home.

But Aamina Sheikh wants everyone to know that social distancing does not necessarily mean we put a stop to learning and living. Sheikh recently took to Instagram to share a storybook for children in Urdu, focusing on home learning and fun content for children.

The actor posted a video with the book and said, "Urdu storytime for kids! Sharing here what we do with the intent to contribute towards home learning and to provide progressive & fun Urdu content to our children.”

Written by Sana Shahid and illustrated by Shakeel Vilayat Khokhar, Abid ki Tauba is a book for children in the age group of 8-9 and focuses on their ethical upbringing.

The actor and her daughter Meissa have read Abid ki Tauba and Meri Rangeen Duniya together and can be viewed on MeissaMama Youtube channel.

The children's book is published and distributed by Paramount Books Pvt. Ltd and is available for Rs100.
