Wasim Akram remembers the 92 World Cup in Fawad Khan's PSL anthem
Xulfi composed a new song for this year's PSL and it's out now!
The track, which features Fawad Khan along with Aima Baig, Haroon Shahid, Asfar Hussain (vocalist from the band Bayaan) and Bilal Ali (vocalist from the band Kashmir) just dropped and reminds everyone of their love for cricket.
'Khel Ja Dil Se' definitely comes from the heart, carrying a fun tune you end up moving along to. Although we have to say, while as a song, it's on point and catchy, we don't know how we feel about this being a PSL anthem. This doesn't seem like the kind of song that would play for jazba in the cricket arena during the match like 'Hai Koi Hum Jaisa' by Strings, something the crowd can chant along to.
But this would definitely make for a great soundtrack to a cricket-related movie... maybe for the upcoming Akram: An Era? He's already in this video so...
Akram does feature in the music video, sharing a throwback to the 1992 World Cup victory. All the singers star in the video and like many cricket-based songs before it, the video shows fans excitedly watching cricket matches and cheering for their country.
