What do Imran Khan and Peshawar Zalmis have in common? Shoes!

The Peshawar Zalmis just got a wonderful surprise right before the Pakistan Super League kicks off tomorrow.

Chacha Noorudin, the shoemaker known for his Peshawari chappals, decided to gift the team with special 'Kaptaan chappals' which he's previously made for Imran Khan.

“I designed more than 40 pairs of the Peshawari Chappal for all the players and the team management in three colors – brown, mustard, and tiger print. Since we could get their exact foot sizes, we managed to complete the task in time,” Noorudin, 60, told Arab News.

He flew down to Karachi to personally give the shoes to the team and they all clearly loved them!

Chacha Noorudin has been designing the Peshawari chappal since 1976 but it was when he designed a pair for PM Khan that he acquired fame for his craft. Since that time, he also refers to the design as Kaptaan chappals, which are now a fashion must-have.
