Jane Fonda accepted her BAFTA award while getting arrested

Jane Fonda is grace, and we don't just mean from her show Grace and Frankie.

Th actor received the Stanley Kubrick Award for Excellence in Film at the annual ceremony at the Beverly Hilton. However, since she couldn't be there, she recorded a thank you video for the audience. Why couldn't she be there? Because she was getting arrested for her climate change protests.

Fonda said in her acceptance speech, "I am sorry I’m not there, but as you may have heard I have been getting arrested.”

"I decided I needed to do more about climate change, so I moved to D.C. for four months and tried to heighten the sense of urgency that there needs to be. It's a crisis, not just here but all over the world."

In the video, Jane Fonda says "Thank you BAFTA" as she's being put in handcuffs and we cannot help but fan-girl over her. This is the third time she has been arrested for her protests.

About winning the award, Fonda did say, "I am so honored , I can’t even believe it. I am so grateful. It’s thrilling," although we have a feeling it's not as thrilling as making a stand for change.
