Jennifer Aniston officially joined Instagram and broke it.

The star inaugurated her account with a reunion picture of the Friends cast so we understand how it happened. She acquired over a million followers in under 5 hours, actually setting a Guinness World Record. Definitely not just a shoe!

Previously the record was held by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, whose @sussexroyal account reached 1 million in five hours and 45 minutes.

Aniston made sure to address the situation in her following post, thanking her followers for the love... and the destruction of social media:

Speaking about joining Instagram on Jimmy Kimmel's show, Aniston revealed that she technically already was on the app before making it official.

"It was a stalker account. When I was thinking about doing this, I figured it was time to understand the world and dip my toe into the social media pool."

Jennifer promises to be "really good" about posting on Instagram and not waste anyone's time. Good for those of us who have one of those job things!
