HBO didn't submit Gwendoline Christie for an Emmy nomination so she did it herself

Looks like Gwendoline Christie didn't just play Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones, she became her.

The show broke records this year for having the most Emmy nominations at 32 but it wasn't because HBO submitted all the names.

In fact, EW revealed that Gwendoline Christie's name wasn't submitted in the nominations and like the unstoppable force she plays on GoT, Christie went ahead and submitted her nomination herself. And guess what? She got it.

We stan a knight, people.

Along with Christie, Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy, and Carice van Houten, known for Melisandre, also self-submitted their nominations and made the cut.

Looks like we just got an amazing lesson in learning to believe in ourselves.
