John Cena joins the cast of Fast & Furious 9

We think now is as good a time as any to say: let's get ready to rumble!

Back in April, Vin Diesel teased about John Cena being cast in the ninth instalment of Fast & Furious on his Instagram account but now, Universal has confirmed the news.

While we still don't know much about his character though Deadline reports he plays "a baddie" (duh), we're wondering if Cena will be replacing Dwayne Johnson who we hear will NOT be in Fast & Furious 9.

The former wrestler took to Twitter to share that it's an honour to be part of the franchise:

Dan Casey is writing the screenplay from a story by Justin Lin. Production starts later this month for a May 22, 2020 release; Diesel is also producing the flick.
