Kareena Kapoor will play a cop in Hindi Medium 2, according to Bollywood rumours

Looks like things are moving forward with the Hindi Medium sequel as fresh rumours from Bollywood suggest that Kareena Kapoor has signed on to the film.

According to Hindustan Times, a source close to the production said that Kareena is playing a lead role in Hindi Medium 2 and might play a police officer! Although earlier gossip said that the film will be shot in the States, the film is now being said to be set in London.

The original Hindi Medium starred Saba Qamar and Irrfan Khan as two parents who want their daughter to get the education they could not afford to have. Details of the sequel's plot have not yet been revealed.

The sequel is first announced in January 2018; however, production stalled when lead actor Irrfan Khan flew to the States to receive treatment for a neuroendocrine tumour. However, now that the actor is reported to be back in Mumbai, it appears that the film's production is ready to finally begin.
