Priyanka Chopra will play disciple of Indian guru Osho in her next Hollywood film

Priyanka Chopra has signed her fourth Hollywood film and it's far different from any project she has signed before.

Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, PeeCee revealed that she is producing and acting in a movie based on the Netflix docu-series Wild Wild Country, which followed the controversial Indian guru Rajneesh's (AKA Osho) cult-base in America.

“We’re [Chopra and Barry Levinson] developing it as the character of Sheela who was this guru, who originated from India, his [Rajneesh’s] right-hand woman and she was just devious and created a whole cult in America," she told Ellen.

The actor will play the role of Osho's highly influential assistant Ma Anand Sheela. "[The Netflix doc] was amazing, and I’m developing that next for me to star in and produce, which I think would be really cool."

Priyanka is currently promoting her film Isn't It Romantic alongside Liam Hemsworth, Rebel Wilson and more.
