Deepika calls herself 'wife of Ranveer Singh Padukone' in latest interview

Looks like Deepika Padukone is okay with her marital status being the focus of attention for a little while.

In her latest interview with Filmfare, she introduced herself as ‘Deepika Padukone, wife of Ranveer Singh Padukone,’ making us wonder whether we'll see a name switch on Ranveer's Instagram profile any time soon.

She was also asked to respond to people who commented on her lavish wedding and its bills and she responded coolly, “Mere paas bahut paise hain (I have a lot of money). Don’t worry.” Why anyone would doubt Deepika couldn't take care of herself is beyond us.

Ranveer, on the other hand, is also on a wedding high, saying separately at an event that "marriage is the best thing that has ever happened to [him]".

"You know in those superhero movies, you know that moment when the suit comes on. I feel like marriage has done that to me,” he said.

Ranveer was also asked about babies (of course) and he said, “It’s not my call really. I mean partly it is, but mostly it’s just her.”

“I allow her to make most of the decisions because she is just better at everything. I have no qualms in accepting that she is a much more evolved, a much more mature person than me. Of course I love her, but I respect and admire her for everything that she has achieved. She is a much greater person than me. She has achieved a lot more than me,” he said.
