Is Aamir Khan working on a Bollywood Forrest Gump?

Mama said a lot of things but sure didn't see this coming.

In August, DNA had reported that Aamir Khan may be acquiring the rights to 1994 classic Forrest Gump for a Bollywood remake.

According to their source, "Aamir wants to make Forrest Gump in Hindi, which he will star in. He wants to play the lead role that Tom Hanks had essayed in the original. It has been on his wishlist for some time."

Added the source, "Scripting is currently underway. Aamir wants his team to rework the whole narrative, setting it in the Indian context."

After Thugs of Hindostan it looks like Aamir Khan might be working on making that happen.

Pinkvilla has an exclusive scoop claiming that not only has the actor acquired the rights for the film, he will be reuniting with Secret Superstar director Advait Chandan to work on the project as his next feature.

However, Aamir Khan has not commented on the matter himself nor given any details hinting at such a project. Neither has Chandan.

Oh well, life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what Aamir Khan is going to do.
