Kevin Spacey is returning to the silver screen next month
It's been eight months since Kevin Spacey was accused of sexual harassment and it appears that producers of his upcoming movie Billionaire Boys Club want you to forget all about that.
The film's trailer features the actor and reveals that the film is due to come out on July 19.
So clearly this is one film that hasn't given Spacey the boot.
Since the accusations against him came to light, Spacey lost out on several projects, including the popular Netflix series House of Cards that wrote him out of the protagonist's role and Christopher Plummer's All The Money In The World that was released only after all of Spacey's scenes were reshot with another actor.
According to CinemaBlend, Spacey shot Billionaire Boys Club two and a half years ago and the film's distribution deals came to a halt when accusations against Spacey began piling up. Commenting on the film moving ahead with Spacey, Richard DuPont, who makes a cameo in the movie as a drug dealer, said that “people have such short memories” and that “Spacey is almost unrecognizable in a beard and glasses”. This, of course, isn't exactly true.
Billionaire Boys Club is based on a real-life club in Los Angeles in the '80s that promoted Ponzi Schemes. The schemes eventually got messy and the club turned to murder. The film comes out on July 19.
