The trailer for Majid Majidi's Beyond The Clouds is out now

We finally have a glimpse of Majid Majidi's film in India, Beyond The Clouds, and the trailer grips the viewer with suspense and some levity.

“Human relationships, emotions and family form the base of every Majid Majidi film. With Beyond The Clouds, he has taken this belief up a notch showcasing family relationships not bonded by blood but by love,” said Sujay Kutty, Business Head of Zee Studios, which is co-producing the film.

“This trailer will give audiences a glimpse of these beautiful emotions through two very talented new faces,” Kutty added.

The film stars newcomers Ishaan Katthar (Amir) and Malavika Mohanan (Tara) in a story about an orphaned brother-sister duo whose drug deal goes bad, leading to Tara's imprisonment. The film follows Amir's struggle to release his sister.

Majid Majidi's not the only big name attached to the film, though. It features A.R. Rahman as music producer and Vishal Bhardwaj is the writer of the film's Hindi dialogues. The film is a blend of three languages — Hindi, Tamil and English.

It is set for release on April 20.
