Will Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar top China's box office?

Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar is about to make it big. No, bigger.

According to Forbes, the Bollywood actor and his production house Aamir Khan Productions (AKP) has been granted a revenue sharing slot for Secret Superstar under China's import film quota.

The actor is currently in China to promote the film, which releases on January 19.

Aamir Khan's previous films that released in China include Dhoom 3, PK and Dangal, of which PK and Dhoom 3 were sold to Chinese distributors while Dangal, the most successful of the three, had AKP receiving a share of the grosses, but not as much as Secret Superstar can bring now.

With this revenue-sharing slot, Aamir Khan and AKP will receive 25% of the gross box office revenue the film collects during its run.

Considering the popularity of Dangal in China, Secret Superstar can be one of the biggest hits in the country and up Bollywood's box office game. Just imagine Aamir Khan's success with Thugs of Hindustan in the works!
