Rahat Fateh Ali's new song from Arth 2 is sure to have you singing along

It's always exciting when a new Rahat Fateh Ali Khan song is released.

What makes the unveiling of his latest 'Murshed Ji' even more intriguing is that it's part of the soundtrack for Shaan Shahid's upcoming flick, Arth 2.

The song which released today is a catchy combination of contemporary rock interspersed with a Sufi soulful melody. We can't help but sing along!

'Murshed Ji' has been composed by Sahir Ali Bagga and the video direction has been done by Shaan himself.

“The song itself grips the gist of the film, themed on the holy connection a person feels for his Creator,” commented Shaan as the team prepared to release one of their most heartfelt musical performances.

Arth 2 is Shaan's attempt at remaking the 1982 Mahesh Bhatt classic Arth "to strengthen film trade between the two countries", and could mark the actor's comeback in romantic films "after many years", a press release quoted him as saying.

It stars Shaan — who is also directing the film — Mohib Mirza, Humaima Malik and Uzma Hassan as leads.

The film is produced by Hammad Chaudhry, Faraz Chaudhry and Shaan Shahid under the banners of HKC Entertainment, Cinestar and 5th Element Entertainment, respectively and is expected to release on December 21 in cinemas worldwide.
