Kirsten Dunst mocked the new Spider-Man movie and Tim Holland's response makes us love him more
Can Tom Holland be any more precious? Yes, yes he can.
Holland won everyone's hearts as the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man from the moment he made his appearance in Captain America: Civil War. Well, everyone but one.
Kirsten Dunst, known for her performance as Mary-Jane in the first Spider-Man trilogy, doesn't seem too eager about Spider-Man: Homecoming.
In an interview with Marie Claire, Dunst claimed the first trilogy to be superior.
Says Dunst, "We made the best ones, so who cares? I’m like, 'You make it all you want.' They’re just milking that cow for money. It’s so obvious. You know what I mean?"
In another interview with Variety, she says, "I don’t care. Everyone likes our Spider-Man. C’mon, am I right or what? Listen, I’d rather be in the first ones than the new ones."
Perhaps if Dunst had said this before the release of Homecoming we'd have understood her sentiments. We all wondered if there was a need for a Spider-Man reboot and Andrew Garfield's Amazing Spider-Man didn't win us over. But after the film's release, and Tom Holland's impeccable performance, this is just appalling. And it definitely beat 'the first ones'.
