The Jumanji sequel's trailer is out and we take back everything we said about the film earlier

Remember when we said Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle promises nostalgia. Yeah, we take it back.

The teaser seemed to be connected with the first movie but now that its official trailer is out, we're stumped.

So Jumanji is no longer a board game, but a video game. Four teens get sucked in the game and became the characters they chose, which are the actors we've been so hyped up to. So basically, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Jack Black are teenagers? Oh and Jack Black is playing the role of a teenage girl.

Yeeeah

We'd love to enjoy this movie but maybe if it wasn't called Jumanji. It seems to attempt connections to the original flick that aren't there. Seriously people, it's okay to want a movie about a jungle themed game and not name it Jumanji.

No Bonnie Hunt so far

We're still keeping our fingers crossed for a Bonnie Hunt cameo or something more to tie the film together, although chances of the latter seem less. But hey! Remember our prediction of 'Welcome to the Jungle' by Guns N' Roses being on the soundtrack? Yes, we're pretty proud of that.

Jumanji seems like a movie that can be enjoyed as long as it's not treated as a Jumanji sequel but a stand alone game. Our Rock bias, both the music and the actor, means we'll watch it so we hope the movie is better than the trailer.
