Are Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise reuniting onscreen?

Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise might get back together, but its not what you think.

According to New Ideas, Cruise, whose film The Mummy is currently in theatres, recently approached Kidman with an unnamed film project, where the actors play each other's romantic interest... The publication also hinted that the two will be filming potential love scenes-together.

A unnamed source, said to be a friend of Kidman, revealed that Nicole, at first, was "stunned when Tom reached out to her about working together again," but she is considering taking on the film. If the Lion actor says yes, this will be the first time the two do a project together since 1999's Eyes Wide shut.

Not much has been revealed about the plot of the project but what is known so far is that it is a film about a divorced couple that falls in love again. The story seems to hit a little too close to home. Is Top Gun star hinting towards rekindling with his Big Little Lies ex-wife?

After 11 years of marriage, the couple called it quits in a high profile divorce in 2001 and have embarked on separate paths since, but if the two go ahead with it, it'll mark the pair's re-union on the big screen after 20 years!
