Noman Ijaz's next TV drama will explore men's midlife crisis

After Khan, Noman Ijaz has another intense drama in the pipeline.

Daagh, directed by Zeeshan Khan, will see Ijaz and Sawera Nadeem reunite on-screen after five years. The drama will explore a transition many face in life: midlife crisis.

"The purpose of the drama is to make families realise that a midlife crisis is not a medical disorder but a psychological and behavioral observation that commonly occurs among individuals between the ages 40 and 60," the director shared with Images.

"Symptoms differ in a diverse manner for each individual. While some individuals may experience feelings of depression, remorse, and anxiety, others may experience feelings such as the desire to achieve youthfulness or make drastic changes to their current lifestyle or atmosphere."

The drama aims to convey "how to judge the behavioral changes that men go through while experiencing a midlife crisis. It can help the partners or families to figure out if someone in the fold is going through this. Like if someone suddenly starts making impetuous decisions, changes in personal lifestyle or appearance, feeling overly nostalgic are just some highlighted changes that can help identify a midlife crisis," reveals Khan.

Although the director mentions the drama will focus on men going through a midlife crisis, there is no mention of women undergoing the same experience in the upcoming project. We'll only know once the show airs.

The cast For Daagh also includes Shermen Ali, Seemi Pasha, Minal Khan, Areesha Razi, Hajra Khan, Tara Mehmood, Ahmed Zaib, Muzzaffar Abbas among others.
