Actress Carrie Fisher suffers heart attack, in intensive care

Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher had a heart attack during her flight to Los Angeles earlier today. The actress got a heart attack 15 minutes before her flight landed in Los Angeles from London.

Passengers on the flight tweeted of the incident, included YouTuber Anna Akana.

According to BBC, a passanger who happened to be a medic, revived her with CPR in the flight and she was rushed to the hospital immediately as the flight landed. Her brother Todd confirmed that she is now in intensive care.

"If everyone could just pray for her that would be good," he said, adding, "The doctors are doing their thing and we don't want to bug them. We are waiting by patiently."

The actress, known for her role as Princess Leia of Alderaan in the Star Wars franchise, was on a book tour for her recently launched The Princess Diarist, which had been named a PEOPLE magazine Best Book of Fall 2016. In the book Carrie Fisher gives insight to what would happen behind the scenes of the original trilogy. She has previously written four novels and three memoirs.

Carries daughter Billie Lourd and her beloved social media famous French bulldog Gary arrived at the UCLA Medical Center shortly after the actress was rushed there.
