Did you know? Saba Qamar just wrapped up her Bollywood debut in Delhi

Saba Qamar is back in Lahore.

The Maat actor spent her summer in Delhi, where she was shooting for her Bollywood debut film, Saket Chaudhry's Hindi Medium. All the while the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) brayed for the departure of Pakistani artists from India, Saba was quietly working on her film with Irrfan Khan in the Indian capital.

The actor says her experience wasn't affected by MNS' hostility towards Pakistan.

"The team made me feel very safe. We often hung out with each other and they made me feel very much at home. There was no unease at all; I was well looked after," said Saba to Images.

Her film Hindi Medium revolves around the lives of a middle-class couple settled in Chandni Chowk, Delhi. Saba plays Irrfan's imposing and chirpy wife.

"I was awestruck by the way Irrfan works, I used to keep looking at him while he delivered his scenes. He's one brilliant actor and a pleasure to work with," Saba gushes about her co-star.

She adds, “Bollywood is a whole new ballgame. They [the team] were so very warm and professional. I had an amazing experience working with all of them.”

Refusing to comment on the ongoing Pak-India conflict, Saba only says that she hopes for peace between both nations.

Now that she's back, Saba is gearing up to set the 'Hum Jazz Style Awards' stage on fire with her electrifying dance performance alongside her Besharam co-star, Zahid Ahmed.

“I've been performing at the ‘Hum Awards’ previously as well, so I'm looking forward to what they have in store with their newest initiative,” Saba said. “Fingers crossed and I hope that people enjoy it.”

Her second Pakistani film, Lahore Se Aagey is slated to release on November 4.
