Pakistanis and Indians ask for #PeaceNotWar amid rising Indo-Pak tensions

In the thick of much he said-she said, India-Pakistan relations are taking a turn for the worse, but the common Pakistani and Indian is done - in other words, they've had it.

Using social media as a tool, Pakistanis and Indians take to Twitter with hashtag #PeaceNotWar. It didn't take long for the hashtag to hit top trend in Pakistan.

Many just asked people on both sides of the border to stop the hate.

Some even taking up relevant social causes instead.

Others cited the distraught genocide brings.

Then there were those who tweeted quotes of prominent Indians...

... and that of a pretty mean guitarist.

Who can deny that the two governments are at play here.

Aww... now that's the way to deal with it.

Let's not forget Parineeti Chopra and her BFF Shahzaib Ali who hails from Pakistan and stood up for her when everybody was pointing fingers at the actor for body shaming him. Umm, learn from them, maybe? And have each other's backs...

Peace not war, guys.
