I'm honoured to work with Deepika, says xXx director DJ Caruso

Deepika Padukone's been making some pretty major fans in Hollywood, even before her debut film makes its way to the screen.

After shooting just the first few scenes of xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, the director DJ Caruso has been gushing about having the 30-year-old Bollywood star on his sets.

He took a photo while embracing his leading lady and tweeted that he was "honoured" to be working with her:

Deepika will play a fiesty huntress named Serena in the upcoming Vin Diesel-starrer.

Her preparation for the role in India impressed Caruso before she landed in LA:

Deepika also seems to have become fast friends with her other co-star Tony Jaa.
